Alumni Evening of Reflection and Prayer
Approximately 30 alumni of Chaminade High School and Kellenberg Memorial High School, along with members of the Marianist communities of both schools, gathered at Saragossa Retreat Center on Monday, December 23, 2024, for what has become an annual tradition at this time of the year: an evening of reflection and prayer for college-age alumni.
Taking advantage of many alumni returning home for the Christmas holidays and semester break, it has become popular for them to join the Marianists to share their experiences, their faith and also strengthen friendships that began when they were students.
The evening included reflections on the true meaning of “giving” and the gift, par excellence that the incarnation of the Savior is for all humankind. Following personal reflection, participants shared in small groups, and then with the entire group.
Later, all participated in Advent Lessons and Carols combined with Eucharistic Adoration in the beautiful Chapel of the Saragossa Center. There was ample opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and the celebration of the Eucharist.
Of course, the evening concluded with a wonderful meal during which the fellowship continued. For those alumni interested, there will be future programs of this nature. Simply check the Events section of this website for notification and information.
