It has pleased God to call to himself our dear brother Gary Bernard Eck, SM. Brother Gary, a well-known and loved Mathematics teacher, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, February 25th. He was 79 years old and had been a professed Marianist religious for 59 years.
Bro. Gary served faithfully for many years at Chaminade, including as Principal from 1977 to 1983. In 1994 he moved to the Kellenberg Memorial Community, where he served on the academic faculty until retiring to a senior care center for Marianists in Dayton, Ohio.
